Rewatch an 80s kid’s movie and you’ll really get a sense of how it was to grow up without any adult supervision. Lots of cussing, nudity in a few cases, talk of sex and no one at home to tell us that our five-hundredth viewing of a tree eating a kid might not be a scene we should be implanting in our young moldable brains. It was a gloriously sad childhood. Things have changed.
